If you paid for express delivery but it failed to arrive in the promised time frame, you can ask for the cost of express postage back. However, if you paid for standard delivery - or you got it. Sorry OP, but if it's Hermes it could be anywhere or turn up at any time (or never at all). They are the absolute worst of any delivery company. We've had drivers claiming to attempt delivery at 11pm on a Sunday night which is clearly bollox as I work in a business park which isn't even open on a Sunday. Hermes are useless. My local Hermes courier has faked my signature and has also opened my parcels in the past. It’s very irritating that you can’t contact Hermes directly to complain or query a delivery, they tell you to raise it with the retailer you bought the item from and they’ll chase it up.

We get about one delivery a week with Hermes, they NEVER deliver in the time slot they say - and that can be at 9pm which is a total pain esp when it has NEVER been delivered at that time. Latest yesterday they did not deliver at all because they alleged no-one was at home - a complete fantasy - we were there the whole time, the gate was open, the house door was open and even a note on the threshold to tell them we were home and to leave parcel on the threshold. Do not use them. All our mail orders will now specify 'please do not deliver with Hermes'.
